Laminate Flooring 

Laminate Flooring may look like real wood flooring, but in reality it is a "Pseudo Wood" product. There is no real wood content to speak of with laminate flooring, but it is made to imitate the look and sometimes the feel of real hardwood floors.

 

Laminate floors have come a long way in the recent years. Since they are at a disadvantage from real wood products for not being real, they have worked to improve other aspects of the product that can compete with its wooden counterparts such as clic engineered hardwood. 

 

Most laminate floors today are water resistant, with some brands even going so far as to promise a waterproof product. Now, no product with wood or wood by-products such as paper (the graphic layer of the laminate flooring) is ever 100% waterproof, but laminate floors are becoming more resistant to environmental moisture and remain a good alternative to real wood for clients who have a concrete subfloor or those on a really tight budget.
