Each year Mirage Floors updates their collections and colours. This is a part of business that we have become accustomed to. Seldom however, does a manufacturer take their whole product offering back to the drawing board and change things as substantially as Mirage has done this year. Let us take a closer look at everything new at Mirage Floors.
Collections based on Species
One of the biggest changes to the Mirage product line is the introduction of species specific collections. There are three new collections introduced in White oak, Red Oak, and Hard Maple. The existing collections have also been reorganized to become more species specific. This makes the selection process for the client so much easier. Now all the different colours in the same collection have the same specifications. The textures, sheen, plank widths, and technologies have become streamlined. This makes it so much easier for the client to look at different colours of the same line and compare apples with apples. Keeping the species consistent allows a client to compare different colours and tones while avoiding confusion between the different species and the ways they look.
Let us now take a look at the new collections:
Lively Collection
This new collection is made up of 6 new colours on Red Oak. The texture in this collection is smooth. The colours are available in two grades: Exclusive (clean grade with minimal knots) and Character (less clean grade that includes all the imperfections of the tree such as knots and filled cracks). The finish on this collection is DurAlive, which we will talk about at the end of this blog in more detail. For now, all you need to know is that this is a matte finish that is not super matte but allows for some soft reflection on your floors. This collection is available on both TruBalance (¾” thickness) and TruBalance Lite (9/16” thickness) in plank and herringbone formats. It is also available in solid format at a 4 ¼” width.
Autumn Collection
This is the second new collection introduced by Mirage this year. This collection also contains 6 new colours on Hard Maple, with smooth textures, in both Exclusive and Character grades. This collection also boasts the DurAlive Finish. All the samples in this collection are available in TruBalance technology in plank and herringbone and solid format in 4 ¼” width.
Blanc Collection
This new collection of White Oak floors includes eight light colours of white oak in one collection. The texture on this entire collection is wire brushed and the finish on this collection is DuraMatt. This collection is available on both TruBalance and TruBalance Lite, in both plank and herringbone options. There is also chevron herringbone options available in the TruBalance format. All of the stain options are also available in the solid format in 4 ¼” width.
Additions and Changes to Existing Collections
Muse Collection
Although this collection was introduced in 2024, it was so popular that this whole collection got an expansion. In 2024 this collection was only offered on the TruBalance Lite and Loc formats. This year, the whole collection has been expanded to be available in the ¾” format on the TruBalance technology as well. All of the options are available in both Exclusive and Character grades, with a DuraMatt finish. You can also get the same selections in herringbone and chevron formats. Keep in mind that the chevron is only available in the ¾” technology. As always, the solid versions are also available in 3 ¼” and 4 ¼”. This collection also has a new colour introduction in Alice, which joins the collection in a warmer medium brown colour.
Escape Collection
This collection is not a new introduction, but now it is only in Red Oak, Character grade and a Wirebrushed texture. The finish on this collection is the Cashmere finish and the whole collection is available in TruBalance and TruBalance Lite in plank and herringbone in 5” width. It is also available in herringbone in both ¾” and 9/16” in a 5” width. Lets not forget the classic solid options in the 3 ¼” and 4 ¼” plank widths. The new addition to this collection is the new colour Elora which is a deep, rich, cooler toned, brown, in line with the 2025 colours of the year - Mocha Mousse.
Dreamville Collection
This collection was also introduced in the 9/16” format in 2024 in 8 colours in Red Oak. The collection is available in Exclusive and Character grades. From 2024 this whole collection was available in a Loc format for those with concrete subfloors (basements and condos). The expansion in this collection saw the whole collection become available in the TruBalance format (¾” thickness) and herringbone and chevron on the TruBalance platform as well. It is of course still available in the solid 4 ¼” format.
Sweet Memories Collection
This collection is now made up exclusively of Hard Maple floors. The colour palette ranges from natural and very light, to some greys and a couple of warmer medium brown stains as well. The texture on all these selections is smooth and the finish is DuraMatt. There are no new colours introduced in this collection, but the platforms have expanded to now include both the TruBalance and TruBalance Lite formats, as well as 5” Herringbone in both technologies. The hero of the solids, 4 ¼” plank, is also available in this collection, for those seeking the more traditional look.
DurAlive - The New Finish
Finally, DurAlive has joined the family of finishes by Mirage. This new finish boasts a bit more shine than the trusted DuraMatt finish and it is easier to clean. It is still a matte gloss level, which makes maintenance a lot easier as it shows minimal dirt and dust accumulation as well as any footprints, paw prints or other markings on the surface of the wood.
